“Women Reweave Homer”
UA Humanities Seminars Program. In the last 25 years women have written more than twice as many novels inspired by the ancient Greek Trojan War story as have men. We’ll explore this phenomenon, reading the four best, award-winning novels.
Dr. Bella Vivante enthusiastically teaches dynamic Lifelong Learners classes. She received a Humanities Seminars Program Ted and Shirley Taubeneck Superior Teaching Award, Nov. 9, 2018, for her class on Homer’s Odyssey, Spring 2017.
As part of ARIELA’s Educational Services Dr. Vivante teaches courses, gives lectures or workshops, does individual tutoring and consulting. These can be for various age levels, from third grade through college and adult continuing learners.
Some examples of Educational Services:
- Mythology workshops with elementary to middle schoolers
- Instruction in Ancient Greek, all levels
- Lectures, workshops, classes or seminars with high school or college students, and adult continuing learners on diverse topics from ancient Greece or the eastern Mediterranean, including:
